Reconcile is a not for profit company established to work directly with local organisations in areas that have been affected by conflict, supporting and facilitating their missions to their local communities to increase development as a way of reducing conflict.
Keren & Simon
Who are we?
- Keren and Simon
- We are a Christian couple, both with a background of working for the Church of England and in International Development who now work as consultants with a capacity building remit. Reconcile is a not for profit company limited by guarantee established initially to undertake the role of Accompanier to Christian Aid funded development programs with the Episcopal Church of Sudan Dioceses of Renk and Malakal in 2007. In 2008 we were working with multiple churches in Africa, giving capacity building support to their development programs. Since then we have been back mainly in Sudan. Simon is currently working a programme to implement a new payroll system for the Government of South Sudan and I'm working on our Christian Aid contract capacity building the Episcopal Church of Sudan which is now in its 4th year.
Accompaniment
Accompaniment involves shadowing the teams working on the projects, building relationships with them, identifying areas of weakness and offering advice as well as supporting and improving their communications.
